There has always been a massive deal of confusion, deception, animosity, and hostility against the person of Jesus Christ since He was revealed to humanity, especially when it comes down to His true identity. This in fact shouldn’t take anyone by surprise since Satan has no problem at all with people’s whole conception about Christ as well as false religions, but his main problem stems from people embracing the truth, which Jesus is the very embodiment of.
Modern-day young Christians are offered numerous ways to learn God’s word. More often than not, the so-called religious teachers cast doubt on the truthfulness and authority of the Lord’s word. When an individual finds salvation, it is easy to make him think that the Bible is God’s word and that the scriptures are unquestionable. Continue reading “The Word of God Shall Last Forever”
The bedrock of the Christian life is the death and resurrection of Christ. Without Christ, there would have been no hope and future for humanity as a whole. Our Lord and Savior willingly gave Himself for us without self-preservation. Therefore, He’s expecting us to give ourselves to Him in like manner as well.
Throughout the Word of God, holiness is a standard of living that’s quite common. Besides, we’re under an obligation by God to be holy according to (1 Peter 1:16). Holiness is so significant to the extent that it is the very factor that will determine whether we’ll be able to see the Lord or not (Hebrews 12:14). The good news is that holiness is one of the greatest things that Christ’s death has made it possible for us to walk in (Hebrews 13:12). Obviously, we should be mindful that holiness is completely independent from our own worthiness. It’s based entirely on what Jesus Christ has accomplished on behalf of humanity by His shedding blood along with what He wants to do through us. So, let’s try to examine this scripture verse below.
“Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood.” (Acts 20:28).
There are many Christian hymns that are about the precious blood of Jesus. As a follow of Christ, you may have already heard many of them, such as the classics like ‘What can wash my sins away, Nothing but the blood of Jesus’, ‘Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb’, ‘Would you be free from the burden of sin?’, ‘There is power in the blood’. In reality, without the blood of Jesus there is no salvation.
It’s very critical that we learn how to properly fight from the greatest and the best general that we’ve ever heard of when getting into spiritual warfare. The good news is that Jesus can ensure us victory upon victory in that field if we’re willing to do what He did in the desert when tempted by the devil. In fact, He’s given us such a powerful battle plan within the Word of God that we can use in order to defeat Satan and his schemes.
“Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need” (Hebrews 4:16).
This well-known verse that states that God will make Himself available for those, who come before Him, is quoted frequently in both Bible studies along with sermons. Amazingly, this Scripture even tells us to approach before His thrown in a bold manner because we’ve been granted a special right to do so by Christ. Although, this is true, but some other deep truths within this verse are often ignored by many. Consequently, this results the overall picture of this passage not being seen just like missing the forest and seeing only the trees.
In the event that you’ve been earnestly seeking and serving God for any length of time, you should be quite familiar regarding the vital role that faith plays in the life of a believer. The type of faith that we’re exercising in God is representative of us reaching back to God on the basis of what He’s done on behalf of us through His only Son Christ Jesus. Temptation is a very serious issue that we have to confront persistently in our walk with the Lord. Nobody is above temptation. It’s the very means through which the enemy tries to make an inroad into our lives in order to pull us away from God. The way that Satan operates is that he isn’t going to come forcefully in order to drag us into something contrary to what God wants us to do. When humbly considering the excruciatingly painful sacrifice that Jesus has made for us on the cross, one thing that should truly captivate our own appreciation relates to the reality that He didn’t do so with the intent of giving us a free pass so that we could continue to lead the same type of sinful lives that we used to lead prior to being saved.
