It’s very critical that we learn how to properly fight from the greatest and the best general that we’ve ever heard of when getting into spiritual warfare. The good news is that Jesus can ensure us victory upon victory in that field if we’re willing to do what He did in the desert when tempted by the devil. In fact, He’s given us such a powerful battle plan within the Word of God that we can use in order to defeat Satan and his schemes.
“Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need” (Hebrews 4:16).
This well-known verse that states that God will make Himself available for those, who come before Him, is quoted frequently in both Bible studies along with sermons. Amazingly, this Scripture even tells us to approach before His thrown in a bold manner because we’ve been granted a special right to do so by Christ. Although, this is true, but some other deep truths within this verse are often ignored by many. Consequently, this results the overall picture of this passage not being seen just like missing the forest and seeing only the trees.
When humbly considering the excruciatingly painful sacrifice that Jesus has made for us on the cross, one thing that should truly captivate our own appreciation relates to the reality that He didn’t do so with the intent of giving us a free pass so that we could continue to lead the same type of sinful lives that we used to lead prior to being saved.
